Without a hearing, they smear and stigmatize as racist, homophobic or anti-Semitic any who contradict what George Orwell once called their "smelly little orthodoxies." They then demand that the heretic recant, grovel, apologize, and pledge to go forth and sin no more. Defy them, and they will go after the network where you work, the newspapers that carry your column, the conventions that invite you to speak. If all else fails, they go after the advertisers. I know these blacklisters. They operate behind closed doors, with phone calls, mailed threats and off-the-record meetings. They work in the dark because, as Al Smith said, nothing un-American can live in the sunlight.

Here, as he has done in previous books, Buchanan works statistics, history, economics and philosophy into a bomb that he then hurls at the reader through his book. Buchanan returns to some of the themes of his earlier best-sellers — the moral and economic decline of the West, the demographics behind our changing world, the tribalism which is slowly replacing nationalism (a trend which, as Buchanan writes, President Obama had the foresight, unlike so many other politicians, to discuss at length in a political address). What sets this book apart from some of his work is that Suicide of a Superpower offers ideas which would appeal both to Tea Partiers and the Occupy Wall Street crowd. He favors labor unions, calls for the legalization of certain recreational drugs, and a closing of many of America’s overseas military bases while at the same time espousing Western culture and warning of the dangers of American out-of-control entitlement programs.

Suicide of a Superpowerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07300588795792963611noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4202471443650606584.post-39031356784677630262011-12-01T18:55:00.000-08:002011-12-01T18:57:46.668-08:00Bought and Paid for: Gingrich's Corruption

As blogger Michael J. The book has been the hottest read of Eastern Shore conservatives and libertarians for several weeks. The impact of the 400 plus pages can’t be understated. The work has so frightened Buchanan’s TV network he appears barred from appearing on camera. The American left and its globalist handlers want Buchanan and his words to go away. Greater distribution would surely wake a great many of the slumbering who would be natural allies for nationalists and the political right. The country is coming unglued. This is intentional. The love of country exhibited in schools, churches andMain Stree tparades of my childhood is now labeled jingoism. Buchanan states there is no longer a dominant European Judeo-Christian culture in North America. The past is vilified, universal service ended nearly 4 decades past and as another author stated 15 years ago, Americans are Bowling Alone.

Suicide of a Superpowerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07300588795792963611noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4202471443650606584.post-24531351628492916062011-11-29T17:19:00.000-08:002011-11-29T17:19:47.406-08:00One of Politico's Top SellersThis week, Politico.com's list of top selling books on American politics lists Patrick J. Thanking God or our Divine Creator is so passe'.

In Patrick J. Buchanan's Suicide of a Superpower, he dedicates an entire chapter about how the United States is losing its Christian heritage which is right on point.
Buchanan's New York Times Best Seller comes from Chris Ladd of the Houston Chronicle. He wrote a lengthy blog post denouncing Buchanan's book. All said, he agrees that America is dying, but shows no concern.

Ladd writes:

America dies over and over again in a thousand different ways, like the cells in your skin. The real test of a culture is not whether it dies, but whether it regenerates itself. What frightens these folks is our nerve-racking dynamism; our accelerating pace of reinvention. We are in fact living through the end of white America. That “end” will be just as catastrophic as the end of Puritan American, the end of Colonial America, the end of White, Male Landowner America, the end of New England Whaling America, the end of Slaveholding America, the end of Rural America, the end of Pre-Industrial America, the end of Jim Crow America, the end of Industrial America and all of the other endings America has experienced in her short history.

In other words, we can be confident that this ending will be yet another in a jarring series of gateways to an ever freer, richer, and more powerful future. Such optimism may be out of step with the spirit of the moment, but it is still the most reasonable and sober expectation of what’s in store for us.

Suicide of a Superpowerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07300588795792963611noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4202471443650606584.post-6136187557165444292011-11-22T11:48:00.000-08:002011-11-22T11:48:01.051-08:0029 Posts by Left-Wing Smear Stooges: Media Matters

Yesterday marked the 29th inaccurate, insidious, and inflammatory post about Patrick J. Last month, a poll commissioned by the Hill newspaper found more than two-thirds (69%) of respondents think the U.S. is in decline, and 83% are very or somewhat worried about the nation's future. Like almost everyone else on the globe, a growing number of us, according to the Pew Global Attitudes Project, believe that China will surpass the U.S. as the premier superpower.

Buchanan is in turmoil.

With the child abuse case rocking Penn State, Badash is upset that Buchanan has linked the episode to the moral collapse of the United States, which now allows homosexual marriages in some states and the North American Man/Boy Love Association (a homosexual pedophile group) to operate freely.

Calling homosexual acts of sodomy a "innate trait fixed at birth," Badash tries to justify Jerry Sandusky's shower behavior anything but homosexual in nature, even calling Sandusky a married man.

What, a football coach can't be gay or in the closet? Don't be an intolerant bigot David!

Badash writes, "Gays are no more likely to be pedophiles than straights are." True, but at Penn State the queens and queers are real, and now out of the closet.

Sandusky appears to have been driven by his homosexual lust, and the scandal and cover-up are true signs of the times: the moral collapse of Happy Valley.

It lays out what has led us to the current unsustainable circumstances that bedevil us. I recommend it to anyone interested in understanding what likely lies ahead.

In my lifetime, America has been transformed from a cohesive society — the greatest country of modern times — into what Buchanan calls "A multiracial, multicultural, multilingual, multiethnic stew of a nation that has no successful precedent in the history of the world."

The country is torn asunder between those who perceive a profound decline and those who believe passionately that there is no decline at all, but rather the beginnings of a march into a progressive utopia. That all previous utopian schemes have failed utterly is ignored.
Buchanan sees the country he grew up in and loved passing away, and he wants to raise his voice in its defense. As Buchanan writes... “Americans who seek stricter immigration control have been charged with many social sins: racism, xenophobia, nativism. Yet none has sought to expel any fellow American based on color or creed. We have only sought to preserve the country we grew up in. Do not people everywhere do that, without being reviled? What motivates people who insist that America’s doors be held open wide until the European majority has disappeared? What is their grudge against the old America that eats at their heart?”

The truth is the left-wing mouthpieces who attack Buchanan and do the name calling are filled with hate and bigotry.Suicide of a Superpowerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07300588795792963611noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4202471443650606584.post-65928360522803161262011-11-14T15:38:00.000-08:002011-11-14T15:38:27.806-08:00Colbert King Jokes about SegregationColbert King, columnist for The Washington Post, wrote a sarcastic piece against Patrick J. Buchanan writing:

Speaking of our place in America, MSNBC contributor, author and former Republican presidential candidate Pat Buchanan reminds us in his just-released book, "Suicide of a Superpower: Will America Survive to 2025?," of what black folks have been missing. I never knew we had it so good.

Writing about the segregation era, Buchanan observes, "Back then, black and white lived apart, went to different schools and churches, played on different playgrounds, and went to different restaurants, bars, theaters, and soda fountains. But we shared a country and a culture. We were one nation. We were Americans."

Gosh, I didn't know that. Buchanan and I grew up in the same segregated Washington, D.C. I don't recall black folks having much of a say in the decision to live "apart." The situation about which Buchanan speaks so wistfully was, to my recollection, a racial apartheid arrangement strictly of white people's making. That’s the way societies move forward. . .” [Buchanan] continued, “I was in the most egalitarian society of the 20th Century when I stepped off the plane with Richard Nixon in the People’s Republic of China - where everyone was equal, but no one was free. When you have absolute freedom, it automatically produces inequality – because we are unequal in our talents and abilities and drives and courage and perseverance. . . No system is perfect, but the free enterprise system has done more to uplift humankind. I’m not just talking about the robber barons of the 19th century – but the average working man had horrendous working conditions. But these improved over 10, 20, 30 and 40 years, until Americans – the same people who were once swept out of Europe – had the highest living standards the world had ever seen.
The Huffington Post's Michael Calderone and his leftist pals are spreading a smear: Buchanan has been banned from MSNBC.

While Patrick J. Buchanan is off his regular gig at MSNBC so that he can promote his New York Times Best Seller, Suicide of a Superpower, Calderone, taking his lead from anti-Catholic bigots and left-wing loud mouths, is regurgitating an unverified, false claim.

And now TV Newser's Managing Editor has been duped.

Chris Ariens (pictured) writes, "An MSNBC executive told HuffPo's Michael Calderone that there had been a conscious decision not to have Buchanan on air because of the views expressed in the book..."

But if Ariens had read Calderone's revised posting, he'd note Buchanan has been on air AFTER his book launch. In addition, MSNBC declined to comment on the matter according to Calderone's same blog post.

So our question, who is this so-called "MSNBC executive?" Why isn't Ariens verifying with his reliable sources at MSNBC and instead relying on the unreliable Calderone?

As sloppy and lazy as Calderone is, sadly Ariens has matched or exceeded his pal's slothfulness.Suicide of a Superpowerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07300588795792963611noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4202471443650606584.post-58167626983521746532011-11-09T08:16:00.000-08:002011-11-09T08:33:45.261-08:00HuffPo's Calderone: A Lazy and Sloppy JournalistYesterday's post by Michael Calderone on The Huffington Post website was erroneous. Feeding right from the bosom of left-wing bigots and not checking his facts before the story posted, Calderone proved he is a lazy journalist. Calderone, who wrongly wrote that Patrick J. Buchanan hadn't been on MSNBC since his best seller Suicide of a Superpower had been launched, was forced to post a correction.

Worse is Calderone's sloppy but revealing Tweets.

When his story first posted, Calderone tweeted, "MSNBC's kept Pat Buchanan off air since controversial book dropped -- some groups hope for good."

With Calderone acknowledging that MSNBC declined to comment on his story, how can he declare MSNBC "kept Pat Buchanan off air" when the facts prove otherwise? And what "groups" are these? Media Matters, Anti-Catholic bigot Abe Foxman, and the eight-known-members of Color of Change. Not a winning coalition to say the least, but a hodge podge of self-promoting, name-calling leftists.

After his editors slapped his hand for making a grave error and then posting a correction, Calderone tweeted, "Correction: Pat Buchanan’s made one appearance on MSNBC since book published -- not since COC campaign."

So now Calderone alleges that Buchanan hasn't been on because of the Color of Change campaign? How about hasn't been on since the Herman Cain sexual harassment scandal broke or hasn't been on since Kim Kardashian (pictured) ended her 72 day marriage?

What leaps of judgement with no sources. With so many spokespersons and others being fired for twittering their inappropriate opinions, Calderone proves he is an idiot stooge of the left, and a lazy and sloppy journalist.

The facts are Buchanan has a wonderful relationship with his employer MSNBC and he currently is "off the reservation" promoting his book. Buchanan is MIA on MSNBC since the launch of his New York Times Best Seller, Suicide of a Superpower.

Michael Calderone (pictured) of the liberal blog site The Huffington Post was forced to correct his story today after alleging that Buchanan hadn't been on MSNBC since October 15th.

If Calderone had done his homework, he'd had listened to the Imus in the Morning Show simulcasted on the Fox Business Network on October 18th:
Buchanan: "When I have a book...I say they [MSNBC] say you can wander off the reservation, go to various places, as long as you come back."

But the left isn't satisfied and seems to be drooling over nothing. And what Calderone really failed to emphasize was Buchanan's positive relationship with MSNBC. He only mentioned it in passing:

While discussing Buchanan's new book on GBTV, [Glenn] Beck suggested that Buchanan could be completely open on his show. "It's OK, I know you work at MSNBC. I know the lion's cage you have to go into," Beck said, grabbing Buchanan's hand and mock consoling him. "You don't have to even mention you were here. It's OK." "What you don't understand is that I'm like a Jesuit missionary to the Iroquois over there," Buchanan said, chuckling. "No, that's my home network, and I enjoy working over there." Beck broke out again in laughter. "I believed him," he said. "I believed him."(Emphasis added)

Unfortunately for the lefties filled with hate and bigotry, and whose outlandish antics and name-calling only helped boost sales, Patrick J.

According to Pat Buchanan, conservative commentator and former GOP presidential candidate, America is steadily declining because of its "steady rejection of its Christian roots" and the declining faith in churches. He sat down with the American Family Association's Brian Fischer to promote his book, Suicide of a Super Power. Buchanan says that religion is the source of all morality and the source of all ethics and that when religion goes, the culture goes, the civilization goes, and finally the people begin to die. Citing the Supreme Court's rejection of a case about the erection of crosses on Utah's highways and criticizing President Obama, Fischer claimed that efforts to purge the mention of God in the public square are happening daily. "Well, it's the de-Christianization of America," Buchanan opined. "If the faith, Christianity, gave birth to our civilization and you reject it, again, the civilization will die and the people will die."

Suicide of a Superpowerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07300588795792963611noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4202471443650606584.post-72527319063339488312011-11-04T14:38:00.000-07:002011-11-04T14:38:18.127-07:00Oakland Violence: A Predictor of Things to Come?

Buchanan a predictor of things to come?

Last weekend, Buchanan correctly predicted that Occupy Wall Street would turn violent. The Daily Caller reported Sunday:

During this weekend’s broadcast of “The McLaughlin Group,” host John McLaughlin asked his panel about what would happen to Occupy Wall Street as its novelty wears off and the weather gets colder. Amid mixed reactions, conservative MSNBC contributor Pat Buchanan described a scenario where freezing temperatures bring out the movement’s violent side. “It’s going to end very, very badly with these folks in the winter,” Buchanan said, “and they’re not going to be getting publicity and they’re going to be acting up and acting badly like the worst of the demonstrators in the 60s … not just overnight camping: They’re going to start fighting with the cops.”

Yesterday, the Associated Press reported:

A protest that shut down the Port of Oakland to show the broadening reach of the Occupy Wall Street movement ended in violence when police in riot gear arrested dozens of protesters overnight who broke into a vacant building, shattered downtown windows, sprayed graffiti and set blazes along the way. At least four protesters were hospitalized Thursday with various injuries, including one needing stitches after fighting with an officer, police said. Several officers were also injured but didn't need hospitalization.

In his national best selling book, A Republic, Not an Empire, published in 1999, two years before 9/11, Buchanan predicted a terrorist attack by Al Qaeda on U.S. soil. His scenario laid out a "dirty bomb" explosion in Seattle.

In Suicide of a Superpower, Buchanan lays out what is disturbing and destroying "domestic tranquility" and a plan on how to preserve the Republic.

Foxman and his half dozen supporters at the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) used their stock-in-trade name-calling to blast Patrick J. Buchanan and his New York Times Best Seller, Suicide of a Superpower in a news release yesterday.

Foxman, who appears to show enormous personal hatred and bigotry against Buchanan, was baptized into Catholicism by a nanny during the Holocaust. He returned to the Jewish faith and his parents near the end of the war.

Maybe having a chip on his shoulder or enormous envy, Foxman has been obsessed for over a decade with Buchanan, a practicing Catholic who, unlike Foxman, once served as a Senior Advisor to three U.S. Presidents.

For decades now, Foxman and his cronies have repeatedly denounced and demonized the Catholic Church in bigoted tirades.

We were expecting the "three tenors" to all be singing the same name-calling, anti-Catholic Opera. Thus, we weren't surprised by Foxman's high-pitched news release.

Next it will be countertenor Rabbi Marvin Hier.
Unfortunately, the final tenor, Irv Rubin, won't be joining the show --- he jumped to his death and committed suicide in 2002 like a distraught mezzo-soprano.Suicide of a Superpowerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07300588795792963611noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4202471443650606584.post-50571315718139281612011-11-02T04:31:00.000-07:002011-11-02T04:31:02.057-07:00New York Times Best Seller

BREAKING NEWS: Suicide of a Superpower debuts at #4 on the prestigious list of national best selling hardcover nonfiction books.
